About the job

As an Interior designer, you will play a key role to create relevant, functional, aesthetic and commercial home furnishing solutions that contribute to positioning the IKEA brand in the local market as the leader in life at home.

Your assignment

  • Use home furnishing competence to create home furnishing solutions in room settings, homes, vignettes and sales support areas that reflect the IKEA identity
  • Actively apply critical skills in terms of layouts, interior design and home furnishings.
  • Stay up to date and knowledgeable about home furnishings, retailing and trends in order to contribute in workshops to generate creative ideas
  • Act quickly to seize commercial opportunities while understanding the impact of your actions on financial results.
  • Contribute to the content of the department action plan with initiatives that will grow the business and support long-term profitability and execute the agreed plans together with the Com&in team and other functions.

Qualifications

Your profile

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in interior design with a proven portfolio.
  • Deep knowledge of interior design and layout
  • Ability to combine commercial, aesthetic and practical skills.
  • Strong ability to generate, visualise, and present new ideas.
  • Ability to work and adapt efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work on both critical thinking and psychical executions on shopfloor.
  • Confident in approaching and communicating clearly with different people in various situations both in Thai and English.
  • A flexible and hands-on approach to responsibilities.
  • Ability to work together with others in a team
  • Have ambition to grow career path and driven to exceed goals.
  • Experience in leadership in any capacity is a plus.
