Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of an Interior Designer include, but are not limited to:

· Assisting in the preparation of design drawings, including space planning layouts, detailed floor plans, and basic 3D models/renderings.

· Supporting conceptual design development from initial programming through design development stages.

· Preparing sample boards, mood boards, and material selections to communicate design concepts effectively.

· Assisting senior designers in coordinating with clients, suppliers, and contractors.

· Collaborating with project managers, architects, engineers, and other consultants to ensure design intent and feasibility.

· Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates, schedules, and basic documentation.

· Supporting site coordination activities, including attending site visits, taking measurements, photographs, and notes.

· Assisting with quality control of drawings, finishes, and furniture specifications.

· Researching materials, finishes, furniture, and industry trends to support innovative and sustainable design solutions.

· Maintaining organized project files, drawings, and material libraries.

Qualifications / Experience:

The qualifications and experience required for an Interior Designer position include:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates or up to 3+ years of experience in interior design; exposure to commercial or workplace projects is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Strong passion for interior design and eagerness to learn and develop professionally.
• Basic understanding of the interior design process, including space planning, FF&E, and materials.
• Proficiency or working knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. (Enscape or other rendering tools are a plus.)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong attention to detail, creativity, and a positive, proactive attitude.
