Interior Designer, Cape Town, R30,000-R40,000 CTC

Our client, a leading national Interior Design firm with a strong reputation for quality and reliability in the corporate market, is seeking a talented Intermediate Interior Designer to join their fast-paced Cape Town office in the CBD.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Relevant Interior Design qualification.
• 3 -5 years of experience in corporate interior design and space planning.
• Proficiency in Revit, BIM workflows, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and Canva.
• Strong conceptual and 3D thinking skills to create designs that are both creative and practical.
• Understanding of construction methods and processes.
• Knowledge of the local supplier market, current trends, and industry best practices.
• Ability to take clear, accurate briefs and work methodically to deliver on them.
• Good numerical skills to work within budgets.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Problem-solving skills, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Good organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid computer literacy in MS Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing creative concepts from interpreting client briefs to preparing sketches, mood boards, and design presentations.
• Work on design development to meet client briefs, budgets, and relevant regulations, including preparing technical, construction, and council documentation.
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors sourcing quality products, coordinating pricing, and supporting site inspections and snag lists.
• Collaborate with the project management team to ensure smooth project handovers.
• Support senior designers and project leads in delivering outstanding design solutions.
• Maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders and act as a positive representative of the brand.
