Industry: Property Development

The Interior Design Manager will oversee interior design and décor projects from concept through final execution. This role combines creative design, team leadership, client management, and project coordination to ensure high-quality results within budget and timeline.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Lead Interior Design Team

• Lead and manage interior designers, draftsmen, 3D visualizers, and decorators.
• Assign tasks, review design work, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Improve design quality, team performance, and working standards.
• Provide creative direction for Classic, Neoclassical, Modern, and Luxury Villa interior styles.

2. Design Concept & Client Presentation

• Meet clients to understand their requirements, lifestyle, budget, and design preferences.
• Prepare and review layout plans, mood boards, material selections, furniture concepts, and 3D perspectives.
• Present design concepts professionally and handle client feedback and revisions.
• Support the sales process by explaining design concepts and value to clients.

3. BOQ, Quotation & Pricing Support

• Prepare and review BOQs for interior design, fit-out works, built-in and loose furniture, decoration, lighting, materials, and finishes.
• Coordinate with QS, Procurement, Workshop, and Management teams to prepare accurate quotations.
• Ensure design proposals meet client budgets and project profitability targets.
• Recommend alternative materials or design solutions to control costs while maintaining quality.
• Ensure all approved design items are included in the quotation.

4. Project Coordination & Site Support

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, project managers, site teams, suppliers, contractors, and clients.
• Work closely with the Workshop Team on built-in furniture, custom cabinets, woodwork, decorative panels, and production details.
• Coordinate with the Site Fit-Out Manager to ensure works follow approved drawings, materials, quality standards, and timelines.
• Review shop drawings, furniture details, installation drawings, and material samples before production or installation.
• Conduct site visits to monitor quality and resolve design issues.
• Support project handover by checking finishing quality and preparing defect lists when required.

5. Marketing & Design Content Support

• Work with the Marketing Team to develop project videos, advertisements, design content, before-and-after content, and portfolio materials.
• Provide creative direction for interior visuals and project presentations.
• Support marketing campaigns with design ideas, project highlights, and completed project references.

6. Other Responsibilities

• Stay updated on interior design trends, materials, furniture, lighting, decoration, and market pricing.
• Maintain organized design documents, drawings, BOQs, and project records.
• Perform other duties assigned by Management.

Main Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in interior design, preferably with modern villa, residential, or luxury interior projects.
• At least 3–4 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, D5 Render, SketchUp V-Ray, and Enscape
• Strong portfolio demonstrating successfully completed residential projects, particularly high-end décor and styling.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
