Job Description

Dewberry is seeking an Interior Design Intern for Summer 2026 to join our Peoria, IL office. This position works under close supervision of the Project Architect/Manager. Receives specific and detailed instructions regarding tasks. Performs work efforts in a timely and complete manner. Takes the initiative to either work out or research a work effort. Has skills in performing renderings and other design type functions. Has a strong understanding of CADD and other project software. Qualified candidates should exhibit strong organizational, conceptual design, and good oral and written communication skills. Candidates should also possess a positive attitude, an outstanding work ethic and be team-oriented.

Required Skills & Required Experience

• Must be pursuing an Interior Design Bachelors or Master's degree from an accredited university
• Candidate should have experience in REVIT, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office
• Digital and traditional rendering abilities and graphic experience a plus
• Preferably LEED AP and knowledge of sustainable design principles.

Salary Range

Salary Range: $17.75 - $28.75

Program Information

Summer Intern Program

During the summer intern program, interns gain hands-on project experience, develop technical skills, and put their classroom knowledge into action. Our interns are assigned meaningful work and are given the opportunity to work on projects similar to what they would be engaging with as a full-time employee.

Our interns get the opportunity to participate in a series of workshops and events, including:

• Networking opportunities to meet other interns, staff, and senior leaders across the business.
• Learning about our services, projects, and clients.
• Professional development workshops, including a career planning workshop and a DiSC assessment to learn more about themselves and how to work effectively with others.
• Summer-long group project where interns work alongside firm leaders to address issues that will impact our future strategy.
