Job Description

Delft Store is looking for an experienced Interior Designer with 2 to 3 years of experience to join us.

As a part of the Store Interior Design team you use your deep knowledge and experience of people’s life at home and your high level of home furnishing competence to show many functional, beautiful sustainable and affordable solutions that are relevant to your local market. You also challenge and encourage the many people to see their homes in new ways.

Responsibilities

  • Contributing to positioning the IKEA Delft store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
  • Applying your home furnishing knowledge and interior design experience to ensure up-to-date room settings and other store media that exceed our visitors’ expectations.
  • Stimulating and increasing the interest for home furnishing through constantly showing new and inspiring solutions that motivate people to visit the IKEA Delft store frequently.
  • Using the richness of the IKEA product range to show distinct and different styles that appeal to many individual tastes and needs.
  • Reflecting the IKEA Brand identity by creating visual impact in all commercial-, sales support and co-worker areas.
  • Securing a vital and local market relevant store every day in order to appeal the many define our rich and creative Interior Design agenda.

Who are you?

You have an education in interior design or architecture and a deep passion, curiosity and understanding of home furnishing and people’s everyday life at home. You have already a few years of experience as an Interior Designer, in an IKEA Store or retail environment. In addition, you:

  • have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of proven work experience in a similar role.
  • think creatively, have commercial visual competence and a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • actively seek improved methods of working in a simple, lean and cost-efficient way.
  • have a practical hands-on approach to your tasks and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Are a good communicator that has the ability to share and transfer knowledge in many different ways, both individually and in larger groups.
  • have the potential and wish to grow within Ikea, with a desire to eventually develop into a managers position.
  • Communicate well in English (written and spoken).
  • Have the potential and wish to grow within Ikea, with a desire to eventually develop into a leader or manager position.
  • Knowledge of Revit is a must.

A small selection of our employment benefits:

  • A 1-year contract with the possibility of extension and the prospect of a permanent contract.
  • A gross monthly salary between €3000 and €3662 based on a full-time(40 hours) contract and work experience.
  • 13th-month salary and travel allowance.
