Job Description

This position is a part-time, temporary position, for 20 hours per week (Monday through Thursday) for a period of 12 weeks, beginning September 26, 2026.

SCOPE OF WORK: Coordinates student engagement, including intramural, recreational and wellness programs, student government, and student clubs for the college community as part of the Student Life Department. This position reports to the Director of Student Support and Engagement at Nashua Community College.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Coordinates all student engagement activities for the campus community and the Department of Student Life.
• Coordinates all student club activities, including but not limited to, recruiting and training of student Club Advisors, club documentation, organization, recruitment, and management; acts as a resource for students participating in all club programs.
• Provides leadership for the Student Senate; mentors and manages all student governance activities.
• Creates an environment conducive to wellness and belonging through recreational programs and student activity involvement.
• Ensures compliance of policies and procedures regarding the use of the wellness facility and with the student clubs, student governance programs and the peer mentorship programs.
• Coordinates and maintains the Wellness Center/athletic facility in conjunction with the maintenance department;
• Maintains inventory and coordinates the purchasing of equipment and supplies for the center.
• Assists in the preparation and distribution of promotional flyers and recruits students and employees to engage with campus life.
• Oversees the College's Peer Mentor Program, including the recruitment, training, scheduling, supervision, and ongoing support of peer mentors.
• Coordinates staffing and schedules to ensure appropriate coverage of the Wellness Center and NCC Bridge.
• Complies with all college, system, state and federal rules and regulations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with a major study Health, Psychology, Business, Education or related discipline

Experience: Undergraduate or graduate experience in the field of student programming, running events and / or athletics.

License/Certification: Possession of a valid Driver’s License.

Must be willing to maintain an appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the agency appointing authority.
