Job Description

Interim Integrator — Maternity Leave Coverage

Town Web · HeyGov

What this is

We run on EOS, and the Integrator seat is what keeps the operating system running: weekly leadership meetings, quarterly Rocks across every department, and the connective work between department leaders and active/planning products. Our Integrator is out on maternity leave starting December 2026.

If that seat goes quiet, meetings drift, Rocks stall, and decisions pile up on our Founder. So we're not looking for someone to hold a chair. We're looking for someone who keeps the company executing at full speed while the Integrator is out, and hands it back in better shape than they found it.

Watch this video to know more about the role!

What you'd own

  • Running the company's weekly operating rhythm and keeping execution on track across Product, Platform, Sales, Client Success, Marketing, and Business Services.
  • Day to day: Rock check-ins that ask for evidence rather than a status word, unblocking issues between teams before they reach an L10, and making sure anything discussed ends up owned with a date on it.
  • The weekly rhythm includes five recurring leadership and department meetings Monday through Wednesday, plus a biweekly session with the Founder, all attended live, US Central time. We'll walk through the full schedule during the hiring process.

What's different because you're covering

  • You're running the seat, not auditing it. Assume the work is yours unless it's listed below. The line is permanence — you make the decisions that keep the company moving, not the ones that outlast your engagement.
  • You run launches and initiatives. If leadership decides it, you drive it, including new product rollouts.
  • You are not limited to what's already in flight.
  • You run hiring for approved roles - interviews, offers, onboarding, and day-to-day performance conversations. New headcount that isn't budgeted, and any termination, go to Founder.
  • You make operational structure calls — who covers what this quarter, how a handoff works, where something temporarily sits. Permanent changes to our Accountability Chart wait for the Integrator's return; log what you find so the Integrator can pick it up.
  • You break ties. Execution priorities, resource conflicts, ownership disputes between teams. That's the job, not an escalation.
  • Escalate to Founder only for founder-level calls: vision and strategy, major financial commitments, terminations.

What you get

A full handoff built during the early November overlap: documented responsibilities, current state of every Rock, and standing agendas and system access. You won't be figuring this out cold.

About us

A distributed team of 25+ across the U.S., Europe, and Asia, roughly $3M in revenue, building websites, digital services, AI meeting minutes, and an AI assistant for local governments. We run on EOS — Rocks, Scorecards, weekly L10s — managed in MonsterOps. We use Claude and other AI tools daily, so being comfortable with them matters.
Who we are looking for: Has experience as an Integrator, Chief of Staff, or operations leader in a growing company; working knowledge of EOS or similar; strong facilitation — you keep meetings on track and make sure they end in decisions; a direct communicator who leads with recommendations rather than open questions. SaaS experience preferred.

Engagement

  • Coverage period: December 2026 through end of February 2027
  • Commitment: 25 hours/week baseline, flexing up to 30 on heavier weeks, especially January planning
  • Onboarding overlap: early November, alongside the Integrator
  • Compensation: TBD
  • Process: intro call → Culture Index survey → interview with Founder and Integrator → references or a short paid working session → agreement

IMPORTANT: Only applications submitted through the proper channel, which is Workable, will be processed.
