Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity in our finance team for a Group Financial Reporting Manager - this is for 6 months to cover maternity leave. The role will report to the Group CFO and will be responsible for leading on all aspects of monthly and annual group reporting (including preparing for the year-end audit).

This is a high-profile role and will have exposure to senior management. You will combine strategic thinking, strong technical accounting skills and hands-on attention to detail.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead the preparation and delivery of monthly and annual consolidated group and sub-group financial statements for the HealthHero group
  • Take ownership of the year-end reporting processes during the 6 month duration of this assignment
  • Manage the relationship with the external auditors
  • Lead the preparation of supporting audit documentation including accounting papers to assist with the close process, coordinating responses as required from finance teams in the UK, France and Germany
  • Lead the preparation of the 2026 annual accounts (including preparation of key statements and supporting notes)
  • Provide technical accounting expertise in areas such as financial instruments, share schemes, consolidation accounting and non-controlling interests
  • Provide analytical review and commentary, specifically comparing current performance versus prior period, to enable performance improvement
  • Review, develop and maintain appropriate accounting policies and processes ensuring compliance with governing accounting standards
  • Prepare consolidation journals, eliminations, group intercompany reconciliations and foreign exchange impact analysis
  • Own the continuing improvement of our use of the OneStream consolidation and reporting system
  • Deliver accounts for statutory entities at a local level
  • Take ownership, along with the Group CFO, of Group and UK tax issues

Requirements

  • Experienced in the consolidation of group accounts and statutory financial reporting
  • A strong technical accountant with extensive IFRS and tax knowledge
  • An excellent communicator, with the ability to manage more senior and junior partners. Working with the Leadership team to interpret ongoing financial commitments
  • Experienced in cross-border working, negotiating the nuances of an international team based in different locations, including travel where necessary
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a performance-improvement environment
  • Extensive year-end, month-end closing experience
  • Exposure to a consolidation and reporting system for financial accounting and G/L management
  • Experience accounting for and reporting on loan facilities, including intercompany loans, external borrowings, accrued interest and related disclosures, is highly desirable

Qualifications and skills

  • Experience and qualifications from an audit environment
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Experience of OneStream or Hyperion Financial Management (or similar) corporate performance management tool
  • Team player, but capable of working independently and pro-actively
  • Competent individual able to seek information from multiple sources to formulate a balanced answer
  • Highly organised, with the ability to multi-task
  • Strong attention to detail

Office based London/ Hybrid - two days per week in the office - we are also open to considering exceptional candidates on a fully remote basis within the UK.
