Job Description

HCT seeks an experienced healthcare quality leader to serve as the Director of Quality for a 50+ bed acute care hospital in California. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead Quality & Patient Safety operations, including department oversight, budgeting, staffing, and strategic quality improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with executives, physicians, nursing leaders, and medical staff to drive patient safety, regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, and measurable clinical outcomes.
  • Analyze quality data, led CQI/TQM process improvement initiatives, and develop reports, dashboards, and recommendations to support performance improvement.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, Management, Organizational Leadership, or related field required; equivalent experience considered.
  • Experience: Approximately 12 years of progressive healthcare experience with significant leadership experience in Quality, Patient Safety, Performance Improvement, Regulatory, or Operational Improvement in an acute care hospital.
  • Licensure: RN not required.
  • Certifications: CPHQ or other quality certification preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

Annual compensation: $156k - $165 based on experience and qualifications.
