About this role:

In this Interface Manager – Traffic Management System / Possession Management role, you will be working as part of the Major Projects division on the ETCS Program. You will be a key interface between QR, the Alliance and Delivery Partners for the delivery of this project.

This is a fixed-term role with an end date of 31 December, 2030.

Purpose That Counts – Some of the responsibilities of the role:

  • Be the key interface between the appointed Alliance members and Queensland Rail for the delivery of all relevant business area works.
  • Manage a complex range of stakeholder objectives and relationships including Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR), the Alliance members and Queensland Rail.
  • Act as the Queensland Rail representative in supporting decision making and integration with the Alliance Delivery Team including being the interface between Queensland Rail and the delivery partners with respect to engineering, design, construction and handover.
  • Identify critical commissioning activities and ensure processes and resources are mobilised
  • Lead, on behalf of Queensland Rail, the contractor's delivery of handover and acceptance documents and assurance program compliance for all below rail assets delivered by the suppliers to ensure stakeholder compliance will all standards, legislation and Queensland Rail’s obligations as a stakeholder are met.

People Who Count - What you can bring to the role:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in delivering large scale complex integrated rail infrastructure projects.
  • High level of skill in the delivery of business focused technical/professional railway infrastructure solutions and an ability to implement strategies that mitigate risk.
  • High level of skill in interpreting engineering drawings, designs and documentation within tight deadlines including technical specifications and design drawings.
  • High level of interpersonal, communication, consultation, negotiation and influencing stakeholder skills.
  • High level of skill in interpreting statutory, regulatory and policy obligations
  • High level of skill in dealing with railway transport operations, construction, maintenance and safety standards.
