Interface Engineer - Enabling & Earthworks (Sizewell C)

Main Duties:


Support alignment between CWP teams and the Project Management Office
Produce and maintain standardised interface documentation and regular reporting for senior stakeholders
Promote a collaborative approach to interface planning and delivery, ensuring issues are clearly understood and effectively resolved
Support Project Managers in developing interface agreements that deliver "best for project" outcomes while maintaining the highest health & safety standards
Implement and maintain project-specific Interface Management processes
Capture and manage interface agreements between teams
Define clear interface management responsibilities
Monitor interface progress and ensure timely resolution of issues
Maintain schedule integrity and initiate change requests arising from interface requirements
Ensure all interface issues are tracked, managed and closed
A key focus of the role is the preparation, approval and effective use of Interface Milestone Definition Sheets (IMDS) for Level 0, 1 and (where required) Level 2 milestones, including:
Milestone success and acceptance criteria
Completion context
Scope drawings / visualisations
Integrated Work Schedules and critical path
Deliverer and receiver responsibilities
Cross-programme dependencies
Excluded scope
Impact of non-delivery


Requirements:


Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience
Proven experience in interface management on complex, large-scale infrastructure projects
Demonstrable experience managing interface issues in an on-site engineering or construction environment
Strong understanding of interface management challenges on large infrastructure or engineering projects
On-site construction experience with knowledge of construction activities, standards and delivery approaches
Solid project management capability
Ability to communicate complex technical and commercial issues clearly to stakeholders
Proven stakeholder management skills across multidisciplinary teams
Innovative problem-solving mindset focused on minimising disruption and maximising delivery efficiency
Highly organised, detail-focused and proactive, with the ability to work independently
Strong communication, assurance and challenge skills
Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information
