In this role, you will support Timken customers and internal stakeholders by providing technical interchange solutions and product equivalency recommendations. You will analyze competitor products, identify suitable Timken alternatives, and deliver technical information that supports sales, customer service, application engineering, and strategic business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review interchange requests and identify suitable Timken equivalents based on competitors' part numbers, specifications, and application requirements.
  • Provide technical information regarding Timken products, product features, drawings, nomenclature, part numbering.
  • Support corporate and regional projects involving product interchangeability, data quality, and competitive product analysis.
  • Assist internal customers, including Customer Service, Sales Engineering, Application Engineering, Product Engineering, and other business functions.
  • Maintain and update interchange databases, ensuring accuracy and consistency of technical data.
  • Analyze technical documentation, catalogs, and specifications to support interchange decisions and customer inquiries.
  • Collaborate with global engineering and commercial teams to resolve complex product selection and interchange requests.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to interchange processes, tools, and data management.

Candidates for this position should meet the following criteria:

  • High school degree in Mechanics, Informatics, or related technical field (Engineering degree is considered an advantage).
  • Good knowledge of technical drawings, engineering documentation, technical manuals, catalogs, and product coding systems.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical products and engineering fundamentals.
  • Good PC skills, including Microsoft Excel for data processing; CRM and SAP knowledge is considered an advantage.
  • Intermediate level of English is mandatory; advanced English is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Good planning and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative team-player attitude.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to manage priorities and maintain commitments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with global teams.
