πŸ₯ The Role

As an Intensivist, you will provide specialist-level critical care to a broad casemix of patients within a well-supported ICU/HDU environment. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the training and supervision of junior medical staff across the hospital.

Your Responsibilities Include:

βœ” Delivering contemporary intensive care for critically ill medical and surgical patients
βœ” Participating in a fair, supportive on-call and onsite roster
βœ” Supervising and mentoring RMOs, registrars, and trainees
βœ” Collaborating with ED, anaesthetics, surgery, and general medicine teams
βœ” Communicating with patients and families with empathy and clarity
βœ” Engaging in clinical governance, safety, and quality improvement programs
βœ” Supporting the development and continuous improvement of ICU services

Ideal Candidate

The hospital is seeking an Intensivist who is:

  • FCICM (or exam-complete) or equivalent
  • AHPRA Specialist Registration
  • Experienced in delivering high-quality ICU care
  • Skilled in communication and collaborative clinical practice
  • Enthusiastic about teaching and supporting junior staff
  • Interested in contributing to quality, safety, and service enhancement
  • Adaptable and confident working in a regional setting
