About the Role

The Intelligent Automation Developer (D10) is a member of the DBS IA Delivery Team, supporting the end-to-end delivery of automation solutions and the ongoing service & support of production automations. This role is suited to an individual with at least 1 year of professional experience in automation delivery, with mandatory hands-on knowledge of UiPath and/or Microsoft Power Platform, and who delivers work under close supervision from more experienced colleagues. The role works closely with Solution Architects, Project Managers, Senior Developers, and business stakeholders to build, test, deploy and support solutions in line with DBS IA best practices, standards and change management methodology.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Development:

  • Contributes to solution design prepared by Solution Architects by clarifying requirements, highlighting assumptions/constraints, and documenting technical inputs.
  • Develops, tests and deploys automation solutions using UiPath and/or Microsoft Power Platform under guidance from senior team members, following IA DBS standards and best practices.
  • Resolves production defects and technical issues under guidance, ensuring follow change controls, are tested, and are documented.

Service & Support:

  • Fully supports assigned production processes built on UiPath and/or Power Platform, following Service & Support standards and agreed SLAs.
  • Covers for other Controllers according to basic process instructions with minimal guidance from more senior colleagues.
  • Delivers agreed technical debt improvement items where applicable.

Project & Delivery Management:

  • Takes responsibility for assigned delivery tasks and keeps project team boards up to date.
  • Flags risks and issues to the Project Manager and supports logging when required.
  • Builds understanding of the DBS IA automation delivery life-cycle and follows delivery governance.

Change Management:

  • Understands how changes impact the business and the IA team.
  • Follows DBS IA change management methodology for releases, fixes and enhancements.

Client Relationships & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Communicates professionally with stakeholders, identifying and discussing potential conflicts in a constructive manner and escalating with support from senior colleagues when needed.
  • Builds positive working relationships through reliability, transparency and timely updates.

Knowledge Management:

  • Ensures project outputs are documented (e.g., solution design inputs, code handover notes, runbooks/support guides) and stored in agreed locations.
  • Contributes to knowledge base enhancements and follows documentation standards.

Teamwork & Communication:

  • Actively seeks to develop skills in UiPath and/or Microsoft Power Platform and takes ownership of personal development. Actively seeks opportunities to learn from others, takes ownership of personal development, and develops skills in UiPath and/or Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Contributes to team discussions and internal collaboration forums, identifies opportunities to exchange knowledge and best practices with other colleagues, supports knowledge sharing and on-boarding of new team members.
  • Communicates in a clear, concise and impartial manner, adapting communication style, level of detail, and format to suit the audience.

Meeting Management:

  • Produces clear meeting notes (as appropriate) capturing decisions, assigned actions, owners and due dates.
  • Tracks and completes assigned actions and helps ensure meeting agendas are covered within the allotted time.

About You

  • At least 1 year of professional experience in automation delivery with mandatory hands-on knowledge of UiPath and/or Microsoft Power Platform.

  • Ability to build, test, deploy and support automations under supervision, following DBS IA team standards and best practices.

  • Understands and demonstrates IA DBS quality expectations, standards and best practices, with a willingness to continuously improve.
  • Takes responsibility for assigned tasks, updates delivery artefacts, flags/logs risks and issues with support, understands key aspects of the IA DBS delivery life-cycle and governance.
  • A collaborative team player who values transparency and constructive openness, speaks up respectfully when something is not working and aligns actions with commitments.
  • Clear and professional communicator who works effectively with peers and stakeholders, identifies potential conflicts and raises them appropriately, supports effective meetings through clear notes and follow-up of assigned actions.
