Our purpose is to deliver energy to the world, today and tomorrow. For over 100 years, bp has focused on discovering, developing, and producing oil and gas in the nations where we operate. We are one of the few companies globally that can provide governments and customers with an integrated energy offering. Delivering our strategy sustainably is fundamental to achieving our ambition to be a net zero company by 2050 or sooner.
As part of a high-performing intelligence team supporting a global energy company, the ISC Operations Intelligence Operator monitors, assesses and reports on global events and incidents, playing a critical role in the organisation's response to emerging risks and crises.
The successful candidate will look beyond traditional media sources to identify developing threats and incidents, providing early warning and actionable intelligence. This requires the ability to independently exploit open-source information, including social media, alongside a range of specialist intelligence products, monitoring tools and software platforms.
The Intelligence Operator assesses events for their potential impact on the company's people, assets, operations and reputation, raising concerns in accordance with established procedures. Working closely with incident response operators, global, regional teams, the role supports intelligence-led security risk management, incident response and crisis management activities across the organisation.
The role also supports the production of thematic intelligence reporting, helping monitor trends, emerging risks and issues relevant to partners and broader business objectives.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a global organisation operating in challenging and complex environments, with exposure to intelligence analysis, operational response, crisis management and emerging technologies.
This is a Monday-Friday 9-5 position based in Sunbury/Feltham (Zone 6, South West London). The role requires 60:40 office attendance. NOTE – this role will move to Timber Square in Central London in Q4 2027/Q1 2028.
Previous experience in an intelligence, security, operations, risk management or analytical environment supporting real-time business, security or operational activities is desirable.
