Job Description

CoreCivic is currently seeking an Intelligence Analyst, Corrections located at our corporate office in Brentwood, TN. This position requires frequent travel, and 4 days per week in our office in Brentwood TN when not traveling.

The Intelligence Analyst researches, identifies, analyzes and manages actionable intelligence from CoreCivic databanks and other sources, including but not limited to, the forensic telephone analysis lab.Identifies investigative intelligence indicators, provides investigative leads, requests data to substantiate or verify information, suggests alternative avenue of investigation, and researches information for use in responding to collateral requests.Performs analyses of raw data queried from various sources in support of investigative operations.Supports the maintenance of computerized intelligence databases to generate reports.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The incumbent should be able to perform all of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements.

  1. Assists with the development and implementation of standard operating procedures, strategic interventions/mechanisms, and monitoring and analysis of program data.
  2. Analyzes available data and identifies the structure and operational techniques utilized by security threat groups, such as prison or street gangs, that might adversely impact the organization.
  3. Prepares time flow, link analysis, and other charts to illustrate and clarify the structures and operations of groups based upon intelligence gathered from sources.
  4. Collects, compiles, analyzes, and interprets intelligence data, to highlight trends and forecast at-risk locations.
  5. Analyzes criminal intelligence information and prepares intelligence reports, bulletins, and provides briefings as directed by supervisor.
  6. Researches, compiles, analyzes, and interprets statistical data from CoreCivic departments and external agency reports in order to identify potential threats.
  7. Extracts telephone data electronically from inmate telephones recovered at the facilities.Performs associated analysis on the collected forensic telephone records.
  8. Maintains the confiscated telephones as evidence and ensures availability for use in court or disciplinary proceedings.Ensures that telephones are disposed of in accordance with policy.
  9. Reviews, processes and responds (via legal counsel) to lawsuits and provides any related facility or FSC records.Responds to subpoenas and provides legal testimony in court proceedings or administrative hearings, when necessary.
  10. Domestic U.S. travel may be required.

Qualifications:

·Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Criminal Justice, Social or Behavioral Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.

·Two years of experience in criminal justice, information technology, or statistical analysis, with one year of experience in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data, is required. Additional related work experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

·Must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the practices and principles of security management, corrections laws, rules, and regulations.

·Frequent travel is required.

·Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.

·A valid driver’s license is required.
