Job Description

Proactively safeguard Berkshire Hathaway Energy and national security by fostering partnerships and coalitions to anticipate and mitigate strategic threats through advanced intelligence, comprehensive risk assessments, and collaborative strategies. Working with significant independence and under general direction, the Intelligence Analyst I performs a variety of complex tasks to inform security and resilience activities through the development of advanced intelligence products focused on cyber and physical threats to Berkshire Hathaway Energy assets and operations.

Intelligence collection and enrichment orchestration and automation in threat intelligence platform and intelligence tools. (50%)

Intelligence product creation supporting holistic security operations, including cyber, supply chain, foreign influence, executive and personnel threats. (40%)

Develop and maintain a deep understanding of BHE business and operational needs to drive relevance in intelligence products. (10%)

Interest in proactively safeguarding BHE and its interests, including national security.

A bachelor's degree in intelligence, political science, international relations, business, technology, security, computer science, engineering or related field or equivalent work (typically four years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor’s degree).

Two or more years of experience in intelligence analysis or a related field.

Knowledge of security principles.

Experience in intelligence, security technologies and corporate security topics preferred.

Knowledge of energy systems, networks, information technology and operational technology terms, equipment, systems, functions and major vendors, preferred.

Effective interpersonal and communications skills, including effective written and communication skills appropriate for business executives.

Effective analytical, research, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Project management skills with an ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently, operating with a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail under time constraints.

Data management skills with experience in at least one programming language, preferred.

Ability to acquire and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
