Priory Hospital Chelmsford has an opportunity for an Integrative Therapist to join our team.
The role is site-based, with working hours and shift patterns discussed at interview. There may also be a requirement to support with occasional evening work, depending on the needs of the service.
Priory Hospital Chelmsford, Chelmsford, Essex is a specialist mental health and addiction treatment centre providing inpatient and outpatient services for adults and young people, including autism and ADHD assessments. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes nearby and Chelmsford railway station approximately 2–3 miles from the hospital. Due to the location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.
As part of the role, you will:
- Provide individual and group therapy, using a range of therapeutic approaches tailored to each service user’s needs.
- Complete assessments and develop treatment plans, reviewing progress and adapting interventions where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with service users, families and the wider multidisciplinary team to support recovery and wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to clinical meetings, care planning and ongoing service development.

What you'll bring to the role
Essential for the role
Applicants should hold a minimum Level 5 Diploma in Counselling or Psychotherapy, with accreditation through BACP, UKCP, or NCPS Senior Accreditation. Applicants who are not yet accredited must be working towards accreditation and able to submit an application within 12 months. Applicants should have post-qualification experience in mental health settings, including inpatient and/or outpatient services.
Accreditation: (if required for the role)
Accreditation with a relevant professional body is required. If the accreditation body is National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), Senior Accreditation is required; otherwise, candidates must be working towards the required level of accreditation. In certain circumstances, we may consider applicants who are working towards accreditation, provided this can be completed within 12 months of appointment.
