Job Description

Are you ready to take the next step in your career? AI is changing how radiology reporting gets done, and the next several years will be among the most active the space has seen. If you take initiative, enjoy solving complex healthcare integrations, and want to help shape how reporting is delivered as Sectra brings its globally successful reporting offering to the US market, this could be the right fit for you.

We’re looking for an Integration Engineer, Radiology Reporting to join Sectra. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in healthcare integrations and interoperability who already knows the reporting space and wants to bring that expertise into one of the most active corners of healthcare IT today.

Sectra has been a leading PACS provider in North America for years. With more than 10 years in PACS-based reporting and 150 sites across 21 countries, we are now bringing our globally successful reporting offering to the US market. To make this happen, we are building a dedicated reporting specialist team in the US in close collaboration with our HQ product organization in Sweden. This group will help lead successful go-lives with major US health systems while shaping how the team operates moving forward.

Your job is to make our customers successful with reporting integrations. You will work directly with hospital IT architects, customer technical teams, and internal engineering resources to design, troubleshoot, and optimize integrations across reporting workflows and healthcare imaging environments.

You will help customers get the most from a reporting experience built natively inside the PACS on a cloud-native, true-SaaS architecture with AI integrated directly into the workflow. Because this team sits close to the product organization, your customer interactions will also help shape future product development and workflow improvements.

In this role, you will:

  • Design, build, troubleshoot, and support reporting interfaces between Sectra and third-party healthcare systems

  • Lead reporting-related integrations and interoperability workflows across customer environments, including migrations and upgrades from legacy reporting platforms

  • Partner with hospital IT architects and customer technical leads to gather requirements and design integrations that fit the customer’s environment

  • Build and support HL7 messaging (ORU, ORM, MDM), DICOM SR, FHIR-aligned APIs, and other reporting integration technologies, including workflow connectivity between reporting platforms, PACS, RIS, and the broader imaging environment

  • Coordinate with hospital security, network, and identity teams on connectivity, certificate handling, firewall coordination, and SSO setup for cloud-native SaaS deployments

  • Test, validate, and troubleshoot integrations against project and operational requirements, including data integrity checks

  • Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, technical escalations, and reporting go-live activities

  • Work cross-functionally with internal applications, engineering, and the HQ product team in Sweden

To be successful in this role, you should:

  • Have 5–10 years of experience supporting healthcare integrations, interoperability, or interface workflows

  • Have hands-on experience with HL7 messaging (ORU, ORM) in customer deployments, with working familiarity with DICOM, XML, JSON, and healthcare APIs

  • Have hands-on experience with an enterprise radiology dictation platform such as PowerScribe 360, PowerScribe One, Fluency for Imaging, or equivalent solutions

  • Be comfortable troubleshooting technical workflows and complex system interactions

  • Have strong technical problem-solving skills and experience working in customer-facing environments, including with senior hospital IT stakeholders

  • Be organized, detail-oriented, and committed to documentation and process consistency

  • Demonstrate strong collaboration and communication skills

  • Be willing to occasionally support after-hours activities related to customer go-lives or critical deployments

  • Be fluent in English

Nice-to-haves (not required to apply)

  • Experience working with radiology workflows, PACS, RIS, or imaging environments

  • Exposure to integration engines such as Mirth

  • Experience with SQL, scripting, PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript

  • Familiarity with structured reporting, DICOM SR, or FHIRcast

  • Prior experience with reporting-platform migrations, including PowerScribe 360 transitions

  • Familiarity with integrating against major US EHRs such as Epic, Oracle Cerner, Meditech, or equivalent platforms

  • Exposure to cloud-native healthcare deployments, including TLS and certificate handling, firewall coordination, AD and SSO setup, and HIPAA-aware operations

  • Interest in or exposure to AI operations or machine learning inferencing workflows within healthcare environments

Why this role?

  • You’ll join a dedicated reporting specialist team being built from the ground up in the US, with real influence on how it operates

  • You’ll be part of the product organization, with a direct line into product development based on what you learn in the field

  • You’ll work in close collaboration with our HQ product team in Sweden on a cloud-native reporting platform that ships continuously

  • You’ll have autonomy to take initiative and shape how the work gets done

  • It’s a strong growth opportunity toward advanced integration, engineering, or technical leadership roles

Other Information

  • We recruit on an ongoing basis, and the goal is for the right candidate to start as soon as possible

  • The salary range for this position is $95,000–$125,000, based on experience and qualifications

  • Sectra provides a competitive total rewards package including comprehensive benefits, retirement plan with matching, and career development programs
