Job Description
An extremely exciting company has partnered with us to scale its engineering team, and we’re looking for a Senior Integration & Test Engineer to play a key role in advancing next-generation effector systems for air defense. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of development, driving integration, verification, and validation efforts across subsystems and full-scale systems. From bench-level testing to full system execution, you’ll work hands-on with hardware, software, and firmware, troubleshooting across the entire stack, from embedded code to physical components. This is a highly impactful, deeply technical role where your work will directly ensure that complex systems perform flawlessly against mission-critical requirements.
A bit about the company:
- Global technology company delivering next-generation capabilities to the defense and critical industries sectors.
- Seasoned leadership and founding team with experience founding and building $1B+ companies.
- They have raised over $200M to date and are only a couple of years old.
- They are still in stealth mode, but they have a commercial product and customers signed.
- Mission-focused culture that's dedicated to solving the toughest technical challenges.
The person we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in integration and test engineering, embedded systems, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong hands-on prototype hardware skills including wiring, soldering, and mechanical assembly (e.g., 3D printing, rack integration).
- Experience setting up and configuring embedded subsystems such as GPS receivers, telemetry radios, and flight controllers.
- Proficiency in Python and/or C/C++ for test automation, calibration scripts, and data reduction/analysis scripting.
- Experience developing and executing test procedures at the component, subsystem, and system levels.
- Familiarity with communication protocols common in drone and embedded systems (MAVLink, CAN, UART, SPI, I2C).
- Solid understanding of drone system architecture, including propulsion, servos, datalinks, navigation, and control loops.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across hardware and software domains.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines for automated testing.
