About the Position:

The Principal Solutions Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive implementation and support services to Dayforce clients for Web Services and other Integration modules in the application. This role involves gathering requirements, identifying data and configuration challenges, providing recommendations on Dayforce configurations that follow best practices, architecting a scalable and robust solution, and providing steady state support for incidents related to the Web Services module. The Principal Solutions Specialist must ensure timely completion of these projects and ensure the solutions provided are aligned to customer’s needs. Responsibilities also include analyzing and tuning application performance, documenting process gaps to incorporate best practices, and providing assistance to Dayforce implementation consultants and System Integrators. Additionally, the Principal Solutions Specialist works with internal teams across the organization to improve product quality, feature enhancements, and manage internal processes for access and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive implementation and support services to clients in speciality modules while maintaining productivity and SLA KPIs
• Provide second level support to Dayforce implementation project teams and System Integrators for Web Services and other Integration modules
• Assess the health and performance of software applications and databases
• Analyze and tune application performance using various programming languages, tools, and techniques
• Confirm, gather, understand, and document customer requirements
• Consult customers on various options to address business requirements by:
• Leveraging best practices
• Considering downstream effects of configuration choices
• Applying deep understanding of data flow in Dayforce
• Project Management
• Create and follow a project plan using effort estimation, outline action items, measure progress, adjust and follow the plan through to completion
• Provide customers with significant and timely updates
• Collaborate with customers, Ceridian contacts and 3rd party vendors to conduct thorough testing, scripting, troubleshooting to deliver a complete and high-quality solution for system integration
• Understand and adhere to Ceridian internal business processes to champion customer success
• Demonstrate product expertise of the Dayforce application and how various modules interact with and affect each other – consider product performance and cloud resources to optimize solution to implement scalable solutions for API and Micro Services
• Create knowledge base articles and refine existing content based on insights uncovered through call driver analysis and opportunities identified, as well as play a part in the improvement of our application by reproducing and meticulously documenting software defects
• Lead, prioritize and manage multiple projects, and use negotiation and conflict resolution skills to drive timely and high-quality solutions
• Develop, document, and share best practices for delivery of key module functionality
• Lead and collaborate with project team for automation and toolsets development (ideas, testing ,and rollout) to streamline implementation process
• Stay current on latest Dayforce functionality and configuration practices, identify product gaps, and recommend product enhancements
• Support the Integration Solutions Team by
• Providing mentorship and high-quality training materials
• Providing solution oversight for projects
• Create, document, and optimize team processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant experience in software/computer related fields
• 4+ years of support experience or equivalent
• Strong Proficiency of SQL and databases
• Superior communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Expert understanding of programming, HTML and Microsoft Server Technology
• Thorough understanding of Web and mobile applications, and API services – RESTful, SOAP, OData
• Technical knowledge of XML and XSLT
• Proven experience in successfully leading and developing tools and processes to improve workflow, reduce time and increase quality, and driving tools adoption

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous client support, HCM experience, consulting and/or project management experience
• Certification in the HCM space such as CPA Payroll Compliance Legislation and Payroll Fundamentals
• French language skills
• Technical knowledge of Boomi and Azure

• Ability to work flexible hours, on call and willingness to travel to client site if needed
• Adaptable to a fast-paced and dynamic environment
