A Brief Overview

The Integration Engineer will be enabling cloud capabilities that support the Clinically Integrated Network, including the development of secure cloud infrastructure and data platforms that enable appropriate integration, analytics, reporting, data sharing, and collaboration across participating organizations and healthcare entities. The Integration Engineer will work closely with Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data & Analytics, Epic, Clinical Applications, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities to leverage cloud technologies to improve patient care, operational efficiency, data accessibility, and organizational growth. The position requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, project leadership, and the ability to translate business and clinical requirements into secure, scalable, and supportable cloud solutions. This position is funded through RHTP – RPGP grant funds.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • 3 years Experience in Information Technology or related field. Required
  • Experience administering or engineering enterprise infrastructure environments. Required
  • IT Skills and/or Experience in: * Healthcare information technology * Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration * Microsoft Fabric administration * Artificial integlligence and Copilot adminstration * Cloud governance and architecture * Hybrid cloud management * Enterprise infrastructure engineering * Supporting enterprise cloud technologies and services * Leading technical projects and initiatives Preferred

Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 platforms.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Copilot, analytics, and AI technologies.
  • Understanding of Health Information Exchange (HIE) technologies, healthcare interoperability, and standards used to securely exchange healthcare information.
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture and governance principles.
  • Knowledge of identity and access management systems.
  • Knowledge of healthcare technology, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments and Azure Arc technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong planning, organization, and project leadership abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop technical standards, policies, and documentation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Microsoft Certified Fundamental Credentials as determined by department. Preferred

What you will do

  • Design, implement, and support Stormont Vail Health's Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 cloud environments, including the Azure Landing Zone, networking, identity, security, governance, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
  • Design, implement, and support Stormont Vail Health’s Microsoft Fabric environment. Establish scalable cloud architecture, standards, and governance supporting enterprise, clinical, analytics, and CIN workloads.
  • Serve as a technical lead or contributor for enterprise cloud, integration, analytics, and modernization initiatives. Develop and maintain cloud architecture standards, technical roadmaps, and operational frameworks.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations that support Stormont Vail Health's long-term technology and digital strategy.
  • Establish and support data governance practices for healthcare data, including data ownership, access, security, quality, retention, and appropriate use.
  • Serve as a primary technical resource for cloud and data integration initiatives supporting Stormont Vail Health's Clinically Integrated Network.
  • Partner with Data & Analytics, Epic, clinical, and business teams to modernize Epic Cogito and other analytics platforms and enable CIN, population health, healthcare cost and quality analytics, reporting, and data-driven initiatives.
  • Support data quality, validation, and monitoring processes to ensure healthcare data used for analytics and reporting is accurate, reliable, and appropriately governed.
  • Develop repeatable and secure integration patterns, including Health Information Exchange (HIE) technologies and interoperability standards, for approved external healthcare data sources and participating organizations
  • Partner with Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data & Analytics, Epic, Clinical Applications, Enterprise Architecture, vendors, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into secure and supportable solutions.
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation as required.
  • Assist with vendor selection, product evaluations, and contract reviews.
  • Attend training, conferences, and professional development activities.
  • Support special projects as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • 10% Occasional travel for training, conferences, affiliate organizations, project activities, or regional facilities.
