Job Introduction

Voice communication is crucial for any air traffic control service uninterrupted, round-the-clock communication is a fundamental requirement. The Air Traffic Management (ATM) Voice Solutions business unit defines, develops and distributes the market-leading voice product portfolio to our global customers. With the new X10 voice communication solution, we are opening the next chapter in the transformation of air traffic management communication into IT services
Technologies/tools: Docker knowledge, network technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, SIP, RTP, HTTP), Wireshark, ticketing tools (Jira), requirement and test management tools (Jama), management tools, Linux and virtualization, log monitoring (for example Kibana), basic scripting knowledge (Java, Python or similar), WAN emulation tools, multimeters, frequency generators, nice to have: NESSUS for vulnerability scans,test automation tool usage, oscilloscopes
Key Tasks

  • Integrate software modules, microservices, COTS hardware and third party components into virtual and physical X10 system environments
  • Verify overall system behaviour under load, network changes, failover situations and other real world operational scenarios
  • Analyse logs, signalling flows and network traces to investigate issues and identify root causes
  • Maintain, configure and troubleshoot Linux based infrastructure, container environments and lab equipment
  • Document test activities, results, risks and open points clearly and concisely
  • Collaborate with developers, architects and product owners to clarify requirements, technical constraints and integration risks


Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in system integration, service engineering or distributed system testing (nice to have: real time or VoIP environments)
  • Solid understanding of Linux, networking fundamentals and troubleshooting approaches
  • Completed technical education such as HTL, FH or university in a relevant technical field
  • Hands on experience with containers, virtualization and system level deployments
  • Ability to analyse timing, load and system interactions to understand complex behaviour
  • Structured and reliable working style with good communication skills and willingness to travel occasionally

Salary
The remuneration for this position consists of: The collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 45,208 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
