Your Team

The Solutions for Customization team (S4C - Integration) is accountable for incorporating the Murex software into the information system frameworks of our Capital Markets customers. Throughout the lifecycle of the product, from pre-sales support to implementation as well as training and product support, Murex S4C consultants are our clients' trusted IT partners. We deliver innovative solutions and provide state-of-the-art recommendations and advice.

We help the clients integrate Murex with other systems by proposing or designing solutions:

  • Design reports and extractions out of murex for regulatory purposes or as input to other systems
  • Integrate murex with other systems in the bank
  • Configure murex to retrieve market data from other markets systems (Bloomberg, Reuters).

Note: This is not a pure coding role While scripting, configuration, and code analysis are important, the primary focus is on understanding systems, diagnosing issues, supporting production environments, and ensuring service reliability. Ideal candidates bring strong Linux, networking, cloud, and database fundamentals (SQL), plus coding skills (Java preferred) used as a tool.

Your Role

With training and senior support, you will:

  • Develop expertise in Murex interface and reporting solutions and general knowledge of the platform
  • Provide technical support (phone, email, CRM, on-site) to Murex customers, ensuring successful follow-up of issues from notification to resolution and validation
  • Validate solutions with co-workers within the team and seek advice and expertise of other teams on other domains
  • Participate in implementation projects for the delivery of interfaces for electronic communication network (for example online trading platform), clearing systems, customer’s internal systems (e.g. core banking), reporting solutions and trade migrations
  • Participate in implementation projects for the delivery of customized solutions to client-specific requirements
  • Maintain good understanding and knowledge of the best practices
  • Participate in the Murex solution enrichment process by reporting issues and suggestions to the development centre
  • Proactively ensure customer satisfaction and follow-up on the interface and reporting related activities
  • Deliver trainings to customers and partners

Your Profile

Required:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, Software Engineering, or related.
  • At least 1 year of relevant functional/technical experience in software projects, such as user requirements gathering and specification, development, testing, documentation, or support.
  • Basic understanding in programming language ( Preferrably in Java, Python)
  • Knowledgeable of some SQL databases (Oracle/PostgreSQL/SQL Server)
  • Experience in Unix/Linux, Windows OS, able to develop scripting/batch files.
  • Understanding of computer network basics troubleshooting
  • Curiosity, willingness to learn, and strong teamwork
  • Very good English communication skills to handle effective client facing and working with regional team

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with J2EE, Apache Camel, BIRT (or other reporting solutions), UML, XSLT

Success Milestones

First 3 months

  • Learn basics of application integration or Datamart reporting
  • Shadow BAU supports activities or simple inquiries

3–6 months

  • Independently analyze and resolve basic or medium BAU support issues with minimum guidance
  • Contribute to documentation and support article

6–12 months

  • Independently handle BAU support cases with collaboration with senior S4C consultants. Start contributing to new projects under senior stream lead guidance.
  • Able to handle configurations or interface building or batch reports in project delivery
