Our Mission

At Rolls-Royce SMR, we are delivering a new generation of low-carbon nuclear power that will help meet the world’s growing energy demands. By combining proven nuclear technology with innovative design and manufacturing approaches, we are helping to create a cleaner and more sustainable energy future.

The Role

This is not a traditional Project Manager role. As an Integrated Project Team Lead, you will drive integration across multiple functions, ensuring teams remain aligned on objectives, risks and delivery priorities. You will provide leadership within a matrix organisation, supporting the delivery of complex product development programmes from design through to production readiness while helping to shape delivery strategy and programme performance.

What We’ll Need You to Do

  • Lead and coordinate a high-performing cross-functional Integrated Project Team focused on successful programme delivery.
  • Develop and maintain integrated delivery plans, ensuring alignment with programme milestones, resource requirements and business objectives.
  • Manage risks, dependencies and delivery challenges, driving timely resolution across engineering, manufacturing and supply chain functions.
  • Provide clear visibility of programme performance, including schedule, cost, resource demand and delivery readiness.
  • Influence and engage stakeholders at all levels to build alignment, drive decisions and maintain delivery momentum.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience leading complex engineering, product development or New Product Introduction (NPI) programmes within a matrix organisation.
  • Strong programme planning, scheduling, resource forecasting, cost management and risk management capability.
  • The ability to influence, challenge and align stakeholders without direct line management authority.
  • Experience gained within aerospace, defence, energy, advanced manufacturing or another highly regulated environment.
  • Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience, supported by excellent communication and leadership skills.

Location

We support flexible and hybrid working and welcome applications from across the UK. Regular collaboration with teams in Derby, Warrington and Manchester will be required. If you are excited by this opportunity but do not meet every requirement, we would still love to hear from you.

  • Bonus - Performance related target opportunity 12.5%
  • Benefits Allowance – £2,200 per annum, enabling you to create a bespoke package
  • Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.

  • Private Medical Insurance - BUPA single cover health care
  • Life Assurance - 6x pensionable pay
  • £250 - One-off payment for new starters for home office purchases
