About this role

Queensland Rail are excited to offer the opportunity for an Integrated Possessions Coordinator to join the team on a temporary2 year basis . This team is responsible for interfacing with external agencies in the delivery of large rail infrastructure projects within Major Projects.

This role, along with the team, will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of significant rail projects.

The Integrated Possessions Coordinator role will see you managing the authorisation of third party entry onto Queensland Rail property as well as coordination of contractor corridor access requests and the development and prioritisation of work schedules to ensure the safe, efficient and effective delivery of operations. This role will work within with the Cross River Rail Unity Alliance.

Purpose that Counts - responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all possession planning, scheduling and management while optimising project delivery outcomes.
• Work with onsite engineers and alliance members to coordinate site access requests, ensuring continuous improvement of established processes, identifying emerging risks, integrating evolving operational and safety requirements, and compliance with relevant defined planning protocols.

• Provide detailed performance reporting and advice regarding issue management, optimisation of resources and fulfilment of planned works to support high level stakeholder briefings and correspondence.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant rail safety legislation, policies, Queensland Network Rules and Procedures and trackside safety standards to ensure legal compliance and risk management.
• Liaise with and support the Integrated Possessions Lead and Integrated Possessions Manager to identify and resolve activity conflicts and ensure delivery of an optimised possession program.
• Control rooms setups with closure coordinator team. There is optional opportunity to take on shift work over weekend periods where closures are most common.

This position plays a significant role in the successful planning of the Cross River Rail Project. To succeed in this role, you will have great stakeholder and interpersonal skills, the ability to build productive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and be well organised.

• Extensive knowledge of trackside safety standards as they relate to third party stakeholders.
• Extensive knowledge of Queensland Rail's SEQ network, practices, policies, standards and procedures
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise work across multiple outstanding items and new enquiries.
• Have a highly organised approach to delivering outcomes and strive to meet constantly changing timeframes/deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive a solution focused outcomes for all parties.
