The Role

Defence is seeking an experienced Integrated Governance Logistics support Officer with a preference for a candidate with a strong background within Defence. It is expected the candidate will have relevant qualification and skills, and industry experience of more than 8 years.

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with the Capability Life Cycle, PMBOK or Prince 2 Project management methodologies and have experience in written documentation for consideration at senior Defence committees.

The candidate will report to Director Joint COMSEC, through Deputy Director COMSEC, and work within a team comprised of APS, ADF and contractors. The successful candidate will work closely with CASG and the Service and Groups Capability Manager Representatives to meet project objectives.

About You

The specific discipline areas and functional/technical skills of the candidate are to include:

  1. Extensive knowledge and a working understanding of the One Defence Capability System.
  2. Candidate must have a Communication Security background.
  3. Researching and developing logistics support requirements
  4. Co-ordinate data to assist in mapping the COMSEC ecosystem.
  5. Provide SME input into government submissions, including Bi-Annual update.
  6. Provide SME input to develop fundamental inputs to capability in regard to COMSEC.
  7. Provide ILS knowledge of the impact and consequences of COMSEC policy broadcasts.
  8. Assist in the provision or coordination of SME advice on all matters relating to COMSEC FIC.
  9. Provide input into development of COMSEC training packages for new COMSEC devices/procedures.
  10. Experience working in the Defence environment, with a minimum previous 5 years of employment (contracted or otherwise) with the Department.
  11. Ability to be creative or innovative when circumstances demand that alternate options should be considered.
  12. Ability to work under broad direction, be outcomes focussed and operate as part of a small integrated and matrix team.

An NV2 clearance is required for this role.
