About the role:

Due to internal movement, we now have an opportunity for an Integrated Data Environment (IDE) Manager to join our team in Cairns, supporting Norsta Maritime’s Regional Maintenance Provider – North East (RMP‑NE) contract.

This role plays a critical part in enabling effective data, system and information management across Defence maritime sustainment activities. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and the Commonwealth to ensure integrated ERP and PLM environments effectively support engineering, maintenance and operational outcomes.

What you will be involved in:

The IDE Manager is responsible for the delivery of Integrated Data Environment functions under the RMP‑NE Contract, with a strong focus on the capture, management and use of engineering, maintenance and logistics data. Key responsibilities include:

• Gathering and managing ERP and PLM business requirements to support system development and deployment
• Administration and implementation support of ERP and PLM solutions
• Coordinating system changes, upgrades and integrations
• Managing additional systems within the established External Data Management environment
• Security management and cyber‑worthiness of systems
• Managing systems competency frameworks across the enterprise
• Providing system and data administration services, including user access and account management
• Supporting “train‑the‑trainer” capability through participation in expert training and certification

What we would like from you:

• Experience in information technology, systems engineering or project management environments
• Significant experience working with Defence Integrated Data Environments
• Experience operating in high‑tempo, complex information or systems environments
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, maintenance, operations and support functions
• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Systems Engineering or Project Management (or similar)
• Experience with Defence engineering and logistics systems (e.g. MILIS, AMPS, CMT‑U, NAVALLOW, APLCRATES) will be highly regarded.
