The Intake Specialist, Legal will perform specific intake procedures to identify and overcome barriers that would otherwise impede the structure developed for guiding clients in becoming self-sufficient. They will also assess and respond to what clients need when coming to them in crisis or in a less thanoptimumstate. Further, the Intake Specialist, Legal willbe responsible forfinding solutions for a myriad of related issues as they arise. Compassion and patience are assets in this field, and communication skills are imperative. Organization is also crucial as case records must be maintained accurately and efficiently. In addition, the Intake Specialist may be crossed-trained to understand job functions within their designated unit of the Legal Services department.
