Owns and operates the intake process for EA initiatives, ensuring incoming requests, and proposals are consistently assessed, shaped and prioritized into high-quality, decision-ready TECH portfolio aligned with strategic, financial and architectural goals.

Role accountabilities:

Individual accountabilities:

  • Assessment and Triage

    • Evaluation of incoming requests for strategic alignment, value, risk, complexity and feasibility ​
    • Coordination of early-stage assessment across architecture, security, finance, and delivery​
    • Classification of initiatives (minor, major, legally required, etc)
  • Portfolio Shaping

    • Translation of raw demand into clear, comparable portfolio​
    • Identification of overlaps, dependencies, and consolidated opportunities​
    • Recommendation of sequencing, bundling or rejection of initiatives
  • Governance and Decision Support

    • Preparation of materials for Portfolio review and investment decision forums (ATDC)​
    • Provision of fact-based recommendations to senior stakeholder, tracks decisions, outcomes and rationale for transparency and auditability
  • Stakeholder Engagement

    • Partnering with business sponsors to improve quality of submissions​
    • Education of stakeholders on intake expectations and portfolio constraints​
    • Acting as neutral broker between business demand and technology capacity
  • Continuous Improvement

    • Monitor intake performance metrics (cycle time, quality, rework)​
    • Continuously refine criteria, scoring models, and workflow​
    • Ensure intake process scales with organisational maturity

Key Shared Accountabilities:

  • Intake and Portfolio Management Director​
  • Alignment on initiative reviews, assessments, priorization and decision packs for governance forums​
  • Portfolio Value and Risk Manager​
  • Shared ownership of Portfolio Dashboard and intake performance metrics​
  • Shared ownership of lane governance (intake forms, assessment templates)​
  • EA Lane Directors​
  • Coordinate on new initiatives and project assessments​
  • Align resource and time requirements for new initiatives and assessments

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in complex, multi-country organizations. Preferred is experience in Technology Portfolio and demand management.​
  • Strong background in business process design and business case evaluation.​
  • Strengths in stakeholder management and communication incl. executive storytelling​
  • Understanding of complex ERP and other business critical applications. Structured problem saving and analytical thinking.
