LocationOn-site, hybrid, or remote (If living within 31 miles of Santa Ana, CA or Austin, TX will need to be able to work 4 days on-site)

Compensation $22.00/hr

The FHA Insuring Reviewer is responsible for performing a detailed post-closing analysis of closed FHA loan packages to determine compliance with FHA program guidelines, and audit FHA loan files for self-insuring purposes of loans in FHA Connection. Validate loan level data within the Encompass360 LOS and FHA Connection to ensure that loans are free of deficiencies prior to insuring the loan online. The reviewer is also responsible for preparing physical case binders for any loans that are selected for full audits by FHA/HUD, and as well as reviewing and resolving any post-endorsement requests.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review, remit and insure FHA loan files.
  • Perform a detailed post-closing analysis of closed FHA loan packages to determine compliance with FHA program guidelines.
  • Validate loan level data within the Encompass360 LOS and FHA Connection to ensure that loans are free of deficiencies prior to insuring the loan online.
  • Audit FHA loan files by using prior knowledge and utilizing an LI checklist, as to ensure Lender Insuring (LI) ability of each file.
  • Enter FHA loan data in FHA Connection.
  • Review and resolve any post-endorsement issues.
  • Respond to requests for and prepare FHA case binders for any loan files that are selected for full audit by FHA/HUD.
  • Perform other general post-closing functions as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent. 2+ years working in the mortgage industry and an in-depth understanding of the life cycle of a loan.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Word word-processing software; MS Excel spreadsheet software and Internet Explorer, MS Outlook internet software.
