Job Description

The Precertification Specialist is responsible for obtaining prior authorization for all procedural orders by successfully completing the authorization process with all payers.

Minimum Work Experience:

• 2 years medical prior authorization experience preferred
• 2 years experience in a medical related field required

Minimum Education:

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.

Required Skills:

• Hospital or clinic experience, or training in medical terminology preferred.
• Proficient use of CPT and ICD-10 codes
• Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, and Internet Use
• Basic understanding of human anatomy, specifically musculoskeletal

Screening Requirements:

• Drug Screen
• Tuberculosis Test
• Background Check
• Physical Exam
• Respirator Fit
