Technical Analyst
Operations Team: Axis Specialty Europe SE, Belgian Branch
How does this role contribute to our collective success?
This role provides efficient and timely issuance of insurance policies to our European clients and brokers as well as ongoing knowledgeable and client-focused administrative service in support of our local underwriting teams.
What will you do in this role?
Following underwriting instructions:
Create new and renewal insurance policies within our technical policy system. Review and initiate policy endorsements and certificates. Analyse technical data and calculate technical transactions including limits, premiums and deductions.
Operational excellence:
Review and reply to broker and client requests in a professional and timely manner. Manage accurate and careful maintenance of policy documentation and correspondence onto our e-filing platform. Taking calls and attending meetings with our brokers where required. Professional email correspondence. Attending and participating in internal trainings and team meetings Share concerns and ideas for the betterment of internal processes.
You may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.
About You:
Professional experience as policy technician / administrator or similar
Excellent attention to detail and able to understand policy coverages and limits, premium calculations/instalments, pro-rata calculations for time on risk.
Able to communicate policy details to our clients and brokers both verbally and in writing.
Able to work independently and collaborate affectively with team members
Diligent, professional with a service-minded attitude
Able to work efficiently to meet deadlines
Able to manage document completion and layout using MS Word
Able to create Excel spreadsheets, perform lookup and sort functions, pivot tables while maintaining the integrity of the data.

What you need to have:
Language skills: Dutch fluency is a must both written and spoken, other languages: French and English are an added value.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
