About the Team
Our national Insurance & Health practice combines deep industry knowledge with local expertise and the highest standards of client service. Our team of more than 300 specialist lawyers has the depth of experience and agility to help our clients, both in Australia and overseas, to navigate the complex risk landscape and support their insureds.

About the Role
An engaging opportunity awaits you as a Senior Associate or Special Counsel in our insurance team in Sydney. This role will specialise in Government & Institutional (G&I) abuse claims and will involve managing a hybrid claim portfolio with half relating to G&I claims and the balance, a broad range of other insurance claims. You’ll collaborate with a team of specialists in their field headed up by Nick Bell and Nick Andrew – principals who are committed to empowering you and your career progression.

About You
If the following sounds like you, we would love to hear from you:

• you are an experienced practitioner in the defendant insurance space with previous involvement in G&I claims;
• you have a willingness to learn and broaden your knowledge in insurance claims, particularly liability and coverage matters;
• you can efficiently manage your own file load;
• you enjoy building client relationships and achieving excellent outcomes for your clients; and
• you are a problem-solver who values collaboration and understands the importance of strong working relationships.
