Our national Insurance & Health practice combines deep industry
knowledge with local expertise and the highest standards of client service. Our
team of more than 300 specialist lawyers has the depth of experience and
agility to help our clients, both in Australia and overseas, to navigate the
complex risk landscape and support their insureds.

About the Role
An exciting growth opportunity awaits
you as a Senior Associate or Special Counsel in Melbourne. With a diverse and
high-quality insurance practice, we are open to candidates who are interested
in working across both financial lines and health, or who wish to build a
specialised practice in either field. You will collaborate with a highly
regarded team of specialists led by Hubert Wajszel and Scott Shelly, Principals
who are committed to supporting your professional development and career
progression.

In the financial lines space, you
will defend a broad range of claims brought against directors, officers,
companies and professionals across the legal, financial services, construction
and property sectors. In the health practice, you will act for hospitals,
clinics, medical and allied health professionals, and other healthcare
providers in a variety of claims, disciplinary matters, litigated proceedings
and coronial inquests.

About You
If the following sounds like you, we

  • you are an experienced practitioner in the defendant insurance space with a focus on professional indemnity;
  • you enjoy building client relationships and achieving excellent outcomes;
  • you remember what it was like being a junior practitioner and understand the importance of mentoring, and are happy to pass on your expertise and knowledge; and
  • you are a problem-solver who values collaboration and understands the importance of strong working relationships.
