Our business office is looking for a full-time insurance representative who facilitates the accurate and timely filing of medical claims to insurance carriers. This process includes corresponding with patients to obtain missing information, diligently following up with insurance companies to ensure payment, and correcting errors on claims that were rejected. In this role, you will also handle insurance refund requests, submits appeals for denied claims, and interacts with patients who have questions regarding their financial responsibility for medical services rendered through Semmes Murphey Clinic.
Requirements
We are searching for a candidate who:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and two (2) years’ work experience related to medical claims reimbursement, preferably in a large medical practice or with a medical insurance carrier.
The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), various software programs, and internet applications. Organizational skills with attention to detail are required.
