Job Title: Insurance Intern-Research and Insights Location: Mumbai(Only Mumbai-based candidates shall be preferred) Duration: 3 Months Stipend: 10,000 per month
About the RoleUpstox Insurance is looking for a detail-oriented and research-driven intern to support key insurance initiatives, including bot training, product analysis, servicing flow mapping, and exploratory partnerships. This role is ideal for any student who enjoys structured research, process understanding, and creating actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities1. Bot Training & ImplementationAssist in building and training an insurance assistance bot by researching and documenting:Claims flow of all insurers across Life, Health & Motor insuranceInsurance servicing touchpoints & end-to-end process flowsGrievance redressal journey, including escalation up to OmbudsmanTop 100 Life Insurance products with illustrations, brochures (current & legacy)Top 100 Health Insurance products with policy documents (current & legacy)New Product Advisory for Life & Health categories
You will help convert these inputs into structured bot-training content, flows, and rule logic.
2. Product & Process ResearchIdentify and document products, processes, servicing flows, and claims workflows for multiple insurersBenchmark industry best practices and identify gaps or opportunitiesMaintain structured and well-organized product datasets
3. Strategic Exploratory ProjectsWork on new initiatives such as:Evaluating financer partnerships that could sponsor customer insurance premiums.Preparing comparative insights and feasibility assessments
Skill RequirementsStrong research, analysis, and insight-generation skillsAbility to convert complex processes into structured documentationGood communication and presentation abilitiesInterest in Insurance, Fintech, or Customer Experience domains (preferred)
Educational Qualifications~BBI,BMS,BCOM– current student or recent graduate~Freshers with strong research aptitude may also apply
