The Jessica Barns Agency is looking for a motivated and people-focused Insurance Agent to join our team in Coldwater.

No previous insurance experience is required — we'll provide the training and support you need to learn the industry and succeed in the role.

What You'll Do

You'll work with prospective and existing customers to understand their needs, explain their options, and help them find insurance coverage that fits their situation.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Following up with prospects through leads, referrals, and outbound outreach
• Building relationships and learning about each customer's insurance needs
• Preparing quotes and explaining Auto, Home, Life, Business, and other coverage options
• Guiding prospective customers through the sales process and turning opportunities into clients
• Maintaining consistent follow-up with prospects and existing customers
• Identifying additional coverage opportunities for current clients
• Keeping lead and customer information organized through agency systems
• Working toward individual and team sales goals

What Makes You a Good Fit

You don't need to know everything about insurance when you walk through the door. We're looking for someone who is willing to learn, takes ownership of their work, and enjoys working with people.

• Feel comfortable communicating by phone and following up with prospects
• Can stay persistent and professional when a customer says "no"
• Are coachable and open to feedback
• Stay organized and follow through on commitments
• Have experience in sales, customer service, retail, hospitality, banking, or another customer-facing environment
• Already hold an insurance license or are willing to complete the required licensing

Insurance experience is helpful, but not required. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
