The Opportunity

The Advisor Insurance Onboarding & Transitions Specialist is a critical and multi‑functional role within Manulife’s Insurance business development organization. This role supports new advisors joining Manulife Wealth Insurance Services and provides end‑to‑end onboarding and transition support to existing insurance advisors across Canada.

The position plays a key role in ensuring a smooth, compliant, and positive transition experience while supporting business initiatives and change management efforts.

Position Responsibilities:

Advisor Recruiting, Transitions & Onboarding

  • Execute end‑to‑end insurance advisor onboarding and transition processes, including recruiting support, contracting, licensing, transitions, and onboarding.
  • Support new insurance advisors transitioning their books of business to Manulife Wealth Insurance Services, ensuring minimal disruption to their practices.
  • Manage account setup and integration with internal systems to enable advisors to conduct insurance business effectively.
  • Provide personalized, high‑touch support throughout the transition period, proactively addressing challenges and risks.

Advisor & Stakeholder Support

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for insurance advisors during onboarding and transition, resolving issues and managing escalations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with advisors to ensure a positive and engaging onboarding experience.
  • Act as a liaison between advisors and internal partners including Compliance, Licensing, Operations, IT, Training, and Business Development.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders to drive timely outcomes and continuous improvement.

Compliance, Documentation & Systems

  • Ensure all insurance licensing, compliance, and legal documentation is completed accurately, stored securely, and adheres to regulatory requirements.
  • Accurately input and maintain advisor and client information in internal systems with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ensure clear, consistent communication throughout the onboarding and transition lifecycle.

Process Improvement & Continuous Support

  • Identify opportunities to streamline onboarding and transition processes, implementing innovative solutions to enhance advisor satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain onboarding, contracting, and transition materials and resources specific to insurance advisors.
  • Gather advisor feedback and collaborate with team members to implement best practices and improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide ongoing transition and onboarding support to existing insurance advisors as their businesses evolve.

Required Qualifications:

  • Post‑secondary degree.
  • Minimum 3–5+ years of experience in advisor onboarding, transitions, operations, or business development within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Experience supporting insurance advisors and licensing processes strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to deliver solutions in complex environments with competing priorities and limited resources.
  • Experience working cross‑functionally with Compliance, Licensing, Operations, IT, and Training teams.
  • Exceptional data entry accuracy and attention to detail.

Working Arrangement

Hybrid

Salary range is expected to be between

$55,125.00 CAD - $91,875.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
