Job Description

Assists the insurance coordinator in reconciling claims, allocates claims according to Remittance Advice (RA), and updates collections online. Follows up on prior authorizations for outpatient and inpatient services, ensures completed claim forms are obtained from relevant departments, and liaises with insurance companies. Downloads Dubai Health Authority Portal (DHPO) for Remittance Advice (RA), prepares PowerPoint presentations on allocation, and reviews corporate and insurance collections weekly.

  • Assists the insurance coordinator in the reconciliation of claims.
  • Allocates claims as per Remittance Advice (RA) and online updating of collections.
  • Follows up on prior authorization for outpatient services wherever required, and all Inpatient services whenever required.
  • Follows up with clinic/admission office/wards for completed claim forms.
  • Follows up with insurance companies for claim forms.
  • Anticipates and sets priority to support department needs and follows policies and procedures for achieving them.
  • Makes decision priorities and carries out daily responsibilities accordingly.
  • Submits all reports on time.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures.
  • Downloads Dubai Health Authority Portal (DHPO) for Remittance Advice (RAS).
  • Prepares PowerPoint presentations as required.
  • Reviews the collections of corporate and insurance weekly.
  • Bachelor's Degree in any field, Finance or Business Administration preferred

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of zero (0) to one (1) year of experience within the Approvals Division.
  • Skills in Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to speak and write in English fluently.
