Job Description

Job Title: Insulation Installation Package Manager
Location: Los Mochis, Mexico (On-site)

We are looking for an experienced Insulation Installation Package Manager to join our team on a major industrial construction project in Los Mochis, Mexico.

This site-based role is responsible for the execution, coordination, and delivery of the full insulation scope (both self-performed and subcontracted) across large-scale facilities, including ammonia, methanol, and petrochemical plants.

Key Responsibilities


  • Manage the complete insulation scope, including material selection, cladding, and field installation in line with project specifications.

  • Collaborate with the Mechanical Site Manager and Construction Manager to plan and execute insulation works for piping and equipment.

  • Define work fronts, release sequences, and system priorities to meet project milestones and support commissioning.

  • Review and approve method statements and installation procedures, ensuring compliance with standards and CUI (Corrosion Under Insulation) prevention practices.

  • Validate subcontractor progress and approve payment applications according to contractual agreements.

Construction Planning & Control


  • Lead daily and weekly planning activities and maintain a 4-week lookahead schedule.

  • Ensure all insulation works (cladding, application, sealing) meet safety and quality requirements.

  • Monitor productivity and implement corrective actions when deviations occur.

  • Manage material logistics, including insulation materials and metallic jacketing, ensuring proper storage and availability.

  • Support project controls with progress updates, manpower planning, and cost forecasts.

Team & Subcontractor Management


  • Coordinate insulation teams and align priorities with project goals.

  • Lead coordination meetings with subcontractors and document progress and performance.

  • Monitor subcontractor productivity, quality, and compliance with contractual and safety requirements.

  • Mentor supervisors and support efficient execution of daily activities.

Quality & Compliance


  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry standards (ASTM, CINI, etc.).

  • Oversee inspections such as cladding quality checks, moisture barrier integrity, and material verification.

  • Review reports and ensure proper documentation and adherence to processes.

Interface Management & Reporting


  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, commissioning, HSE, and operations teams.

  • Manage technical queries (TQs), RFIs, and design clarifications.

  • Report on progress, constraints, and performance to senior management.

Safety, Quality & Regulatory Compliance


  • Ensure compliance with client, regulatory, and industry standards.

  • Promote and enforce HSE procedures and a strong safety culture.

  • Oversee safe lifting operations and material handling practices.

Experience & Key Competencies


  • Minimum of 5 years' experience managing insulation works in complex industrial projects.

  • Experience in petrochemical, ammonia, or methanol projects is highly desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of cladding systems, metallic jacketing, and vapor barriers.

  • Experience with CUI prevention strategies and field application techniques.

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • Experience in process industries (oil & gas, petrochemical, pipelines).

  • Fluency in English (mandatory); additional languages are a plus.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel).

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of industry codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.).
