Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Provides technical support, conducts data analysis and applies knowledge of engineering technology under the direction of engineering staff. Types of tasks include test and evaluation, test support, logistics, sustainment, operations analyses, manufacturing product assurance, technical studies, and various analyses and support activities including cost/price, human factors, safety, program/system security, FMS/Arms Export, command and control, intelligence, reliability and maintainability (R&M), quality assurance (QA), and technical and engineering capability to ensure operational safety, suitability, and effectiveness. Systems requiring support include, but are not limited to, aircraft, aerial targets, air combat training equipment, global positioning equipment, air base operability equipment, munitions, missiles, electronics, explosives, bombs, warheads, fuzes, guns, ammunition and AF Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Level 4 - This skill level requires over 10 years of experience and a master’s degree in the applicable discipline. This skill level typically works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently. This skill level may oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.

SECURITY CLEARANCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have a minimum of an active U.S. SECRET clearance and be subject to a government security investigation.
  • Driving or renting a car for company business is expected with some frequency. For insurance purposes, a valid driver’s license is required.
  • Do you have the ability to pass a background check to be granted access to the specific working location installation bases to perform work for GMRE? (Pertains to Technical Services positions)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

  • Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position for meetings, trainings, and/or site visits.
