We support large-scale capital projects across the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. We work in highly regulated manufacturing environments where precision, documentation, and execution are critical.

We are looking for an Instrumentation Technical Specialist for our Indianapolis, IN office to support instrumentation activities across active capital projects in Indianapolis. This is a hands-on position that focuses on execution, coordination, and material readiness, making sure all the manufacturing instrumentation are properly tracked, received, documented, and available to support commissioning and project timelines.

Important: For this position, “instrumentation” refers to process instrumentation used in manufacturing systems; including devices such as flow meters, pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, level instruments, and valves. This does not include laboratory or analytical equipment. This is not a design engineering position.What You Will Do

You will play a key role in the coordination and management of process instrumentation throughout the project lifecycle, from planning through turnover.

Instrumentation Planning and CoordinationCoordinate with Project Management and Procurement to plan, schedule, and forecast instrumentation activitiesAlign material readiness with project schedules and commissioning requirementsSupport planning specifically for process instrumentation used in manufacturing systemsMaterial Management and TrackingTrack the status of instrumentation (e.g., transmitters, gauges, valves) from order through deliveryMaintain accurate records within project tracking systems and databasesInterface with warehouse teams to support receiving, storage, inventory control, and distributionReceiving and VerificationExecute receipt verification in accordance with commissioning requirementsInspect instrumentation and confirm documentation completeness (calibration, compliance, etc.)Identify and resolve discrepancies such as damaged or missing materialsLogistics and HandlingCoordinate routine and expedited shipments of instrumentationEnsure proper packaging, documentation, and chain-of-custody for regulated environmentsDocumentation and TurnoverPrepare and compile turnover packages, including: DatasheetsCertificates of complianceCalibration recordsWarrantiesEnsure all documentation meets GDP and cGMP standardsIssue Resolution and Project SupportSupport resolution of non-conforming instrumentation with internal teamsProvide updates on instrumentation readiness, material status, and risksSupport multiple concurrent capital projects in a structured, deadline-driven environmentWhat a Typical Day Looks Like

You will work directly with process instrumentation used in manufacturing systems, verifying received equipment, organizing documentation, updating tracking systems, and ensuring materials are ready for installation and commissioning.
