
The Electrical and Instrumentation Craftsman is responsible for the selection, installation, programming, documentation, training and knowledge of all plant instrumentation and automatic devices. They will also be responsible for all computer integration as related to PLC’s, HMI’s and process controls within the facility. They will install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures and ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. They may install or service streetlights, intercom systems, or electrical control systems.
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.
Six years of work experience in the electrical and instrumentation field.
High school diploma or general education development certificate (GED); State issued Journeyman Electrical License or associate degree in the electrical and instrumentation disciplines is acceptable.
May lead the work of contractors.
Office and field based. Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment, working in confined spaces, loud noises, and vibrations. Subject to all temperatures, weather and varying road conditions.
Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 40lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 40lbs, climbing up to 180ft, perceiving color difference, ability to wear personal protective equipment (beards not permitted), and strenuous physical activity.
