Job description

SPIE Global Services Energy is currently looking for an Instrumentation and Control Maintenance Planning Engineer to join its work force in Angola.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review instrumentation and control maintenance plans, calibration programs, campaign scopes, corrective work orders, safety system tasks, and statutory or compliance-related inspections.
  • Create and update instrumentation and control work orders in the CMMS/ERP system, including detailed task steps, calibration requirements, loop checks, function tests, isolation needs, manpower, duration, tools, test equipment, spares, acceptance criteria, and close-out documentation.
  • Prepare work packs for field instruments, control valves, transmitters, analyzers, vibration monitoring systems, fire and gas systems, ESD systems, PLCs, DCS/ICSS interfaces, safeguarding systems, package controls, and associated instrumentation equipment.
  • Identify spare parts, consumables, calibration gases, tubing, fittings, impulse lines, instrument cables, glands, test equipment, communication devices, repair kits, and special tools required for each scope.
  • Support material master creation and BOM improvement for instrumentation and control items, including technical description quality, OEM references, hazardous area classification, calibration requirements, and equipment linkage.
  • Follow up PRs, POs, vendor clarifications, service requirements, calibration certificates, test equipment validity, and documentation required for offshore mobilization.
  • Coordinate warehouse verification, preservation checks, segregation, bagging, tagging, boxing, packing lists, and shipment readiness for instrumentation materials, test equipment, and tools.
  • Interface with operations, ICSS/control specialists, maintenance supervisors, HSE, procurement, warehouse, logistics, vendors, OEMs, and offshore focal points to ensure integrated planning and safe execution.
  • Support execution by reviewing daily progress, resolving technical queries, tracking findings, converting accepted recommendations into work orders, and improving future maintenance plans.
  • Instrumentation and control work packs, CMMS/ERP updates, calibration and test equipment readiness trackers, spare parts lists, material registration inputs, PR/PO follow-up inputs, warehouse verification records, packing lists, execution support reports, and close-out action trackers.


Profile

Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification in instrumentation, control, automation, or electrical and instrumentation engineering, with proven offshore oil and gas or FPSO experience. The candidate shall demonstrate knowledge of CMMS/ERP systems, calibration management, process instrumentation, control systems, safety systems, hazardous area equipment, vendor coordination, and offshore maintenance readiness.
