At AmSty, we’re driven by a simple purpose: to create essential, sustainable materials that help build safe communities and support healthy living. Our styrene monomer and polystyrene resins play a meaningful role in everyday life - from the homes we live in to the cars we drive, the food we enjoy and the innovations that fuel our future. We take that responsibility seriously.
We’re committed to producing these materials in the most sustainable way possible, reducing our environmental impact and leading the industry forward in circular solutions. As one of the region’s leading producers of polystyrene and styrene monomer, and an early pioneer in circularity, we’re proud of the progress we’ve made to keep valuable materials out of landfills and the environment. Our sustainability efforts are backed by third-party validation. All manufacturing facilities are ISCC PLUS certified – the global gold standard for sustainable plastics accreditation.
Across AmSty, safety, integrity and respect guide how we show up for our employees, customers and communities. We work hard to create a workplace where people feel supported, can grow in their careers and bring their ideas forward. We’re also focused on delivering quality and reliability for our customers, building partnerships that help them solve today’s challenges and prepare for tomorrow’s opportunities.
Founded in 2008 as a joint venture between Chevron Phillips Chemical and Dow, and today, a joint-venture between Chevron Phillips Chemical and Trinseo, AmSty has grown into a leading producer of styrene and polystyrene.
Together, we’re shaping a more sustainable future for the materials that make modern life possible.
