Introduction:
The Department of Paediatrics and Child Health at the Aga Khan University is dedicated to providing cutting-edge clinical services to children. We offer high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate training, including subspecialty training and research opportunities. Our inpatient facilities feature a Paediatric ward with two units totaling 84 beds and a state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit (Neonatal/Paediatric & Paediatric Cardiac Intensive Care units) equipped with the latest technologies and protocols. Additionally, our Paediatric Cardiology section offers a recognized three-year Fellowship training program accredited by CPSP.

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to:
Manage patients in consultation with consultants in Pediatric Infection Diseases, other pediatric sub-specialties and surgeons to detect and pre-empt untoward changes in patients’ condition.
Prescribe preoperative and postoperative treatments and procedures in consultation with senior faculty/consultants, such as sedatives, diets, antibiotics, and preparation and treatment of the patient's operative area.
Analyze patient's medical history, medication allergies, physical condition, and examination results to ascertain best possible clinical care.
Involved in on-call service with a full-time faculty and will liaise with them, in matters arising on the call days.
Supervise all Pediatric Infection Diseases related clinical activities.
Develop and maintain good professional relationship with nursing staff and faculty/consultant.
Requirements:
You must have completed a structured post-graduate training in Pediatric medicine from a reputable institution and possess FCPS Part II or equivalent. You should also have valid PMDC license. Any experience in Pediatric gastroenterology will be an added advantage.
