The Anne and Henry Zarrow School of Social Work at the University of Oklahoma seeks an innovative instructor to join our dynamic faculty team beginning August 2026 or January 2027This position is within our new Online BASW Program and will involve teaching students in a virtual environment. We are especially interested in candidates who can build collaborative relationships across the School, University, and broader community through innovative online teaching, virtual engagement, and service activities that foster connection and partnership in digital learning environments.
The School is looking to find social work educators who will be responsible for teaching online BASW students, possibly providing supervision to students in field practicum, mentoring students and participating in service activities within the School Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong online teaching skills, including the ability to foster student connection and engagement, facilitate interactive and accessible online learning experiences, communicate effectively in virtual settings, provide timely feedback and support, and utilize educational technology to enhance student learning and success. The School seeks applicants withexpertise in one or more of the following areas:micro practice, community practice, policy practice, health,clinical social work practice, mental health, substance abuse, or other clincial experience. We also welcome candidates with social work training experience, including the following: simulation, supervising social workers and social work students, and continuing education.
The Online BASW Program is launching Fall 2026 and is prepped to reach students across the nation and internationally. The Anne and Henry Zarrow School of Social Work is home to the largest MSW program in Oklahoma. Position requirementsMSW degree required and minimum of 2 years of post-MSW practice experience required
Preferred Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)Previous experience teaching, serving as a field instructor, and/or faculty field liaison is preferred
