Chapman University invites applications for a one-year, full-time, instructor or instructional assistant professor of Italian Studies within the Department of World Languages and Cultures, Wilkinson College of Arts, Humanities, effective August 2026.

Responsibilities
The successful applicant will teach lower and upper-level Italian language courses in a thriving and dynamic program dedicated to teaching the Italian language and culture through technology, innovative methods, and community building. Expectations include assisting with program event coordination.

A conferred doctoral degree in Italian or a related discipline is required for the rank of Instructional Assistant Professor.

The salary range for this position is $78,000 -$87,000. Salary is competitive and will be commensurate with experience. This position is contingent on final budget approval.
